Transparent Leadership for Area E

For residents of Sahtlam, Glenora, and Cowichan Station who are tired of being ignored and shut out of CVRD decisions.

I’m running to bring open, honest, and accountable local government to Area E. You should know what’s happening, why it’s happening, and how your voice can shape the decisions that affect your home, your road, and your future.

What Transparent Leadership Means

Transparent leadership starts with respect for the people who live here. Local government should be open, understandable, and accessible. You shouldn’t need a law degree or hours of free time to follow what’s going on at the CVRD.

Residents should not have to fight to be heard or dig through confusing documents just to understand decisions that affect their homes, farms, and businesses. When information is hard to find or hard to follow, trust breaks down.

For me, transparent leadership means listening first, communicating clearly, and showing how and why decisions are made. It means putting the facts on the table, explaining options in plain language, and making sure residents can see the path from problem to decision.

Leadership You Can Trust

Clayton is dedicated to transforming how local government serves you. By focusing on clarity and responsiveness, he ensures that the residents of Sahtlam, Glenora, and Cowichan Station are no longer left in the dark. His approach is built on respect and the belief that every resident deserves honest answers to tough questions. He is committed to making sure that public input is not just heard but is the driving force behind every legislative decision at the CVRD.

Open Communication

You should never be surprised by local government decisions that impact your property or lifestyle. Clayton's priority is to translate complex CVRD jargon into clear, everyday language that everyone can understand. He will provide regular, proactive updates to keep our community informed and engaged. By bridging the gap between the boardroom and your front door, Clayton ensures that no resident in Area E is left out of the conversation regarding our shared future.

Participatory Governance

Public consultation should happen before decisions are made, not after. Clayton believes that authentic engagement means involving the community at the earliest stages of policy development. Residents of Sahtlam, Glenora, and Cowichan Station should have a seat at the table when it matters most. His goal is to replace box-checking exercises with meaningful dialogue, ensuring that your local knowledge remains the foundation of all major regional district policies.

Accountability for All

True transparency means knowing exactly how your representative votes and why. Clayton stands for a high standard of accountability, where every choice is explained and every question is answered directly. Area E needs a leader who is visible and present, not one who hides behind bureaucracy. He will ensure that government operations are public and consistent, restoring trust by proving that your representative works for the people of our community and no one else.

Community Presence

As a local resident, Clayton faces the same daily challenges as his neighbors. This shared experience drives his commitment to practical, common-sense leadership that puts people over politics. He avoids empty slogans in favor of grounded solutions that reflect the actual needs of Area E families. By living and working alongside you, he brings a unique perspective to the CVRD—one that prioritizes listening first and acting with the community's best interests at the forefront of every vote.

Join the Movement for Transparency

For too long, our community has felt disconnected from the decisions that shape our lives. It is time to open the doors of local government and shine a light on the process. Clayton is ready to represent your interests with integrity and openness, but he needs your voice to make it happen. We invite you to share your ideas, voice your concerns, and help us build a more responsive CVRD. Together, we can ensure that local government is truly accountable to the people it serves.
